During the draw, each player has the opportunity to discard one of their cards. The player who wishes to continue the game checks.
The pot is the aggregate of all bets made by all players in one deal. When no one else calls, the pot is won. The pot can be won by the best hand, bluffing, or by other methods.
A bet can be raised, called a “raise”, or checked, called a “check”. The term “check” means to match an existing wager. If you check, you may raise the bet raised by another player.
